"BenefitMall has relationships with several carriers and helps independent brokers operate as a full-service brokerage. I find their quoting system to be extremely professional and have used their online enrollment services for almost a year now. The online enrollment provides thorough tracking during underwriting and helps expedite the enrollment process! This is key, especially during the 4th quarter when we are multi-tasking several renewals. "

Melissa Perryman, Janko Inc Owner & Insurance Broker

I am an independent broker with my own agency, located in Austin, Texas with over 20 years of experience. Prior to owning my own agency, I was a captive agent for Prudential for almost 10 years. Prudential is predominantly a Life Insurance Company, although they required all agents to hold a Securities and Property & Casualty license, in addition to Life & Health. At the time PruCare had a large presence in Austin and I quickly became engrossed with employee benefits. When Prudential sold their health insurance division to Aetna, I wanted to continue working in this arena.

This was the catalyst that led me to open my own agency. I was able to keep my clients and began brokering other products thru a small General Agency. That General Agency introduced me to the Austin Association of Health Underwriters (AAHU), which allowed me access to other professionals in my field. Over the years, I have served on the AAHU board in various capacities. AAHU is a division of the Texas Association of Health Underwriters, which I also served on their board for 5+ years, as well. Tennis has long been a favorite hobby of mine. AAHU co-sponsored the Candlelighters Jeff Bailey Memorial Tennis Tournament and I was a committee member for 20 years. Candlelighters is an organization which helps families of children with cancer. AAHU co-sponsored this event for several years and BenefitMall was often a sponsor in this tournament.

Ironically, BenefitMall acquired the small agency I worked with. I already had a rapport with some of the BenefitMall employees and have continued to be impressed over the years. BenefitMall has relationships with several carriers and helps independent brokers operate as a full-service brokerage. I find their quoting system to be extremely professional and have used their online enrollment services for almost a year now.
