Our History

Pet Assure was founded in 1995 and provides pet owners with affordable, high-quality veterinary care through its veterinary discount plan. The Pet Assure Veterinary Discount Plan is the largest in the United States and the only one in all 50 states.

In 2015, we partnered with PetCareRx, a licensed Vet-VIPPS pharmacy and one of the largest online pet retailers, to bring PetPlus to the employee benefit market. With PetPlus, employees receive wholesale pricing on pet prescriptions, flea and tick preventatives, heartworm preventatives and more.

In 2018, we teamed up with Pets Best Pet Health Insurance. In that same year, we formed Pet Benefit Solutions, which reflects our commitment to offering a full suite of pet benefits to employees. With Pets Best Pet Health Insurance, Pet Assure and PetPlus, employees have access to plans that meet all of their pet's needs.

According to the APPMA, 68% of US households have pets, and most of them spend more than $2,000 in pet care annually. In recent years, more and more employers nationwide have risen to meet those needs by offering pet benefits.
