John Fridner, National Vice President General Agency Sales
Mr. John Fridner, National Vice President, General Agency Sales for UnitedHealthcare, is a 21-year veteran of the company and is responsible for employer-based wholesale strategy, performance oversight and relationship management for the 110 General Agencies with whom the company works nationally. In coordination with his colleagues on UnitedHealthcare’s Broker, Consultant & Channel Development team, John works with healthplan and regional leadership to define and implement that strategy through opportunity evaluation, contract negotiation, expectation setting, servicing and ongoing performance management, all of which is focused on driving profitable membership growth. In addition, biannually John hosts BenefitMall and other partners on UnitedHealthcare’s General Agent National Advisory Council.
Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare, John earned 12 years of industry experience, holding a variety of increasingly broader management positions within the health insurance industry. These positions included responsibility for sales teams and general agency distribution at HealthPlan Services, Celtic Life Insurance Company and Trustmark Life Insurance Company. John is a graduate of UnitedHealthcare’s President’s Leadership Development Program and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Illinois State University.
John and his wife Laura live in the Chicagoland area and have three beautiful daughters, Taylor, Sarah and Casey.
