Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas knows health insurance coverage in Texas; we invented it. We’re Texas born and bred, and this is the only place we do business. Our mission since our founding more than 70 years ago has been to provide financially sound health care coverage to as many Texans as possible. This includes products available to Medicare-eligible beneficiaries.
- Medicare-age beneficiaries are a big part of the Texas population and growing every day.
- BCBSTX offers a wide variety of Medicare Supplement products for seniors. Effective June 1, 2010, BCBSTX offers Modernized Plans A, F, High-deductible F, G, K, L and the new Plan N.
- Submit Medicare Supplement applications “paper free” via our new Online Medicare Supplement.
- Certified producers can offer the BCSTX Part D, prescription drug programs.
- Non-certified producers are eligible for our new Part D Producer Referral program which pays a one-referral fee for each enrolled Part D member.
- BCBSTX offers Blue Extras, a no-cost program with discounts to seniors on fitness facilities, Jenny Craig, Davis Vision and Tru Hearing.
- Modernized plans are offered without any network restrictions.
- Med-Select plans are available in certain areas of the state and provide discounted premiums to seniors. Med-Select plans are not available in Houston or Dallas/Ft. Worth.
