Paper enrollment served its purpose back when it was the only option. But the days of paper applications were left in the rear-view mirror years ago. It’s time to let them go forever and move enrollment into the digital age. You and your clients get so much more by going digital.
Statistics show that the majority of American workers don't really understand their health insurance benefits. Insurance plan benefits are hard for them to grasp when they don't even know basic terms like 'premium' and 'deductible'. And when employees do not understand, they find it difficult to make decisions.
While digital enrollment cannot necessarily change that all by itself, it does give employees access to information in a format they’re familiar with. They are more likely to read health insurance information presented digitally and in bite-sized chunks, thereby facilitating easier decision-making.

If they want to look up their insurance options at 2 o'clock in the morning, that's fine. It doesn't matter that HR is closed for the night. The same for actual enrollment. Employees can enroll when they have the time, rather than having to do it on the employer's schedule.
